In our earlier post we have seen how to install View Composer and View Connection Server. Also we learnt how to do initial configuration of Connection Server. Its time to setup Event Database for our View Infrastructure so that we can record all the events.

Introduction to VMware Horizon View

It’s a collection of products which covers both virtual desktops, physical desktops, RDS hosts and virtual applications. There are 3 editions of VMware Horizon; Standard, Advanced and Enterprise

Horizon View Standard provides virtual desktops via View. However it also includes View Composer, licensing for vSphere/vCenter Desktop and ThinApp.

The Advanced and Enterprise editions add features such as RDS hosted applications, VSAN and vCOps monitoring amongst other features such as physical desktop image management (aka Mirage). read more

View composer is installed on vCenter server. For installing view composer you will be requiring 64 bit Server 2008 O.S. Copy view composer exe to your vCenter Server. read more
